GECAÁB was formed by Mestre Braga in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil in 1994. The group trains and works in Centro de Capoeira
Angola Rio de Janeiro (CCARJ), a center shared by several
Capoeira Angola groups located at 243 Rue Catete in the Catete
area of Rio.
GECAÁB in Rio is now under the leadership of Mestre
Edson, a former student of Braga.
